Competition – Annual Rules

Cricklade Camera Club Annual Competition Rules

  1. Digital images taken at any time may be entered into one of the following Classes: – Open Landscape, Monochrome including Black and White (see below), Flora/Fauna (usual Nature and Wildlife competition rules don’t apply) and Portraiture (may include animals)
  2. The Number of entries permitted: Club members may submit up to ten images into the print and ten images in the Digital Exhibition with a maximum of 3 images in any one class

In the event that the Class does not receive sufficient entries then entries received will be transferred to the Open class.

  • Digital entries for the exhibition must be submitted in JPEG file format only. Files should be 1600 pixels wide by 1200 pixels high (landscape format). Portrait images should be a maximum of 1200 high. The expected method of submission is by email to: competitions@crickladecameraclub.org
  • Entry to annual competition is open to all who are members on the date of submission. All entries must have originated as a photograph, either film or digital, and been taken by the entrant who retains full copyright. Images may have been manipulated.
  • Please ensure that all digital files are named with your 3 digit membership number class entered image name.jpg. – (e.g. 007 Novice A Nice Picture.jpg)
  • Entries submitted after the announced last date of entry cannot be accepted.
  • All entries will be seen by the judge, who will award certificates for the winning picture in each class. Depending on the number of entries in each class, the judge may award 2nd and 3rd placed pictures and Certificates of Merit at his/her discretion.
  • Monochrome classes will include black and white works with a range of shades of grey. A work toned entirely in a single colour will remain a Monochrome work whilst a black and white work modified by the addition of one colour becomes a colour work (polychrome) and must be entered in the Colour classes.
  • Glamour, lingerie, suggestive or implied nude images will be accepted, but offensive or pornographic images will never be accepted. The final decision as to an image’s suitability will lie with the committee.
  • All copyright remains with the photographer, but the club reserves the right to copy and/or hold entries for a reasonable time for the inclusion in exhibitions, inter- club and federation competitions and promotion of the club. If you are a member of another club and/or another federation please make the competition secretary aware of this.
  •  The committee’s decision on any matters relating to disputes or the interpretation or dispute of these rules is final.
  • No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, omitted or damaged, however caused
